Robotic case packing line for pharmaceutical packages
Robotic line for case secondary packaging of medicines. The line consists of equipment for pharmaceuticals serialization and aggregation, case packing, box forming and sealing.
An industrial robot forms a corrugated box and sets it on the stacking position. It then takes the spacer from the spacer magazine and places it on the bottom of the box.
The packs of pharmaceutical products enter the inlet conveyor system, are inverted and formed into rows in the quantity according to the product stacking scheme in the box.
The industrial robot arm places the packs in the box in rows and covers with the top spacer.
The robot then closes the top rear flap of the carton and feeds it for sealing.
The industrial robot gripper is equipped with tools for forming the box, vacuum suction cups for gripping the product rows and the spacer.
The fundamental challenge in this project was to achieve the output capacity of 60 packs per min with a serious limitation in space, as the equipment was placed in a room with high demands on cleanliness.
