Equipment Description

The key devices and mechanisms of the vacuum robot gripper for box forming are installed on a steel plate with a flange. The plate is made of stainless steel.

The following equipment is used on the gripper for forming corrugated boxes:

  • A group of vacuum suction cups for gripping the short wall of the box (four suction cups on the mainframe, marked in red).
  • A group of suction cups for gripping the longitudinal wall (on the blue side grip).
  • Valves pressing (yellow)

  • Lever mechanisms actuated by pneumatic drives.

To generate the vacuum the compact vacuum generators by Festo are installed on the arm and on the main gripper plate. Vacuum sensors are also located there to identify the quality of the grip.

The connection between the gripper and the ejectors is arranged with Festo hoses.

An optical triangulation discrete sensor located on the gripper plate takes part in the algorithm of searching for the plane of spacers and semi-finished boxes.
